I wanted to share some zine resources I’ve gathered to help melt the ICE: free zines that you can print at home (or at the library. or at work. or at school.) and share with your neighbors (and friends. and in little free libraries. and with pen pals. and on community message boards at your favorite cafes.) Some are by me, and the rest have their creators linked.

Grab your dice and give ’em a shake: everyone can now play Roll for Zine! Roll for Zine is my silly internet game show inspired by Adventures in Aardia’s Roll of Sandwich series. Based on the whims and wishes of the dice, I craft, or crack the spine of, a zine. So far, this has resulted in the creation of one brand new mini (“Riding Roller Coasters with Vincent Price” from Episode 2) and it’s allowed me to revisit some old favorite titles. Once you’ve been the zine scene for a while, you’re bound to make a mini-zine, and then you’re bound to show other folks how to make one. There is something a lil’ cool and lil’ magical about making a six-page booklet outta a single sheet of paper with just a couple folds and a snip. So here is my *official* mini-zine tutorial.

In 2019, I published Tell Your Own Story, a workbook zine inspired by my workshop of the same name, featuring prompts to help you write your first (or fifth! or hundredth!) perzine. Instead of including a list of resources in print that could become irrelevant over time, I opted instead to post the list here.
