Digestif #2

With an eye-catching hand-painted and -printed cover, issue two of Digestif (“a zine to help you stomach the world”) is a grab-bag of content all orbiting around British punk band Bad Nerves. A choose-your-own adventure story weaves itself through the zine, skipping amongst flash fiction paired with random recipes pulled from Betty Crocker cards and a smattering of horrorscopes (although this Sagittarius was disappointed that only 4 zodiac signs were represented… I wanted a peek into my future!) Maybe it’s because I’m already a fan of the band, but for me the highlight of this zine was the interview with Bad Nerves, as well as review of their album “Still Nervous” that tells the story of how zinester Brianna discovered them. (I also loved the frequent mentions of Radioactivity, another favorite band of mine.) I’m curious to see what bands Brianna will cover in the next issues of Digestif!
