“Back Again” is a collaged collection of a zine. On slips of paper torn from a guest check notepad, Morgan jots down their feelings. One note, about a Mad Delirious show, reads “desperate 2 get sad + consensually beat up in the pit by my friends”, in another, they reflect that “if I don’t stay on track I know I’ll feel okay again… some things just take time u know?” The notes are surrounded by images of gothic lolita fashionistas, Rilakkuma stickers and floral stamps, and cut-outs from magazines. There are even 2 recipes included (courtesy of the “National Dairy Board”). The zine is unbound, which makes it feel sort of like a found object (but this also made it a little difficult to read – every time I picked it up, pages would fall out); encountering “Back Again” feels a bit like picking up a stranger’s journal and turning to random pages, catching little glimpses of their world and their life.
