Does anyone else have a habit of turning on the tv show “House Hunters” during a lazy Saturday afternoon? It’s my favorite show to watch when I’m in that cozy, post-brunch food coma haze, tuning in and out while drifting in and out of nap-sleep. So when Cheering and Waving shared on Reddit that they had made a House Hunters fanzine for #minizinemarch, I immediately requested a trade. Issue 1 of “HOME” shares the author’s Top 5 Phrases constantly uttered by the contestants (numero uno is “turnkey”), the formula each episode follows, and their delight in guessing which house the contestants will pick. They share that they like watching the show because it is “predictable and simple” and that’s just why I like it too. This zine may be short, but every bit of it made me smile.
