catmothcrow is my return to writing a perzine after spending the past few years pivoting to other forms; issue one is a grab bag of memories and musings, featuring a travelogue, two playlists, lotsa punk feelings, and even a comix! I talk about learning to slow down and accept the ins-and-outs of my artistic process, recount a whirlwind vacation to Los Angeles, share some zine review highlights, and countdown the top 5 Weakerthans songs to cry to. In the centerfold is a diary comix featuring a very real conversation some friends and I had over Klondike bars… but in my comix universe, we’re all big-eyed animals. Like I said: it’s a mixed bag, but I like to think it’s a good one.
