Zine Club

Hey, Kansas City 👋 you’re invited to join the Zine Club! Once a month from 6:30 to 8pm, a buncha cool folks meet up at Stray Cat Film Center to hang out and chat about zines. We’ll show-and-tell our favorite zines as part of our introductions, then work on our own creations and club comp-zines. Each month’s meeting has a theme, so open up your banker’s boxes, flip through your magazine racks, and scour your stacks for the zines you wanna share with the world!

Accessibility

The Stray Cat Film Center lobby has concrete floors. The lobby is on one level, but there is a small step up to reach the couch seating platform. The door frames measure (w x h): Front Door: 3’ x 7’; Door to Theater: 2’ 8” x 6’ 8”; Door to Back Room: 4’ x 7’; Back Door (emergency exit): 3’ x 7’; Door to Bathroom Corridor: 3’ x 6’ 8”; Bathroom Corridor: 3’ 3” x 6’ 5”; Bathrooms (l x w x h): 8’ x 2’ 11” x 6’ 8”. Transit: Stray Cat Film Center is close to many transit stops. It is a 12 minute walk west from the Grand at 16th Southbound Farside stop serving the 85, 201, and 550 bus lines, or a 9 minute walk from the KC Streetcar – Kauffman Center stop. It is a 7 minute walk from the 11 bus line Summit at 20th Northbound stop.

Cars: The lot behind 1662 & 1664 Broadway building is for customers! As well as street parking around the block. Access to a paved alley and the sidewalk from the lot. There is a slight incline on the path to the front door.
