The cover of the zine

The moment I saw the kraftpaper envelope printed with flowers waiting in my mailbox, I knew that another magical zine by Chloe Calendula had found its way to me. I’ve previously reviewed an issue of her perzine “Flora Libra” here and I fell in love with it’s earthy, witchy vibes, so I’m glad to say that Chloe’s latest zine, “Spell Bottles and Herb Sachets” is equally as enchanting. As the title suggests, “Spell Bottles and Herb Sachets” is a spellbook zine covering these practices, with suggestions on flowers and herbs to add and rituals to try. Chloe laces personal stories in amongst the correspondences and the story time of her first spell bottle was a highlight to read. Another highlight? The zine’s design – handwritten, and printed on a parchment-toned paper, the zine is collaged with soft, bright images of flowers and spelljars. It is as much a joy to look at as it is to read.

📓 Details: quarter-size, color, 20 pages
