Black Out 1 zine

Black Out is a tender perzine told in seven parts. The zine starts with a poetic story about a text that Tara, the zinester, received from their mom, followed by musings on body dysphoria, binders, polyamory (and feeling like they failed at it), sex, trauma, self care, and overcoming internalized classism. Interspersed in-between are sweet drawings of Tara’s pets and little notes and doodles. It’s an achingly honest zine, the sorta perzine that makes you feel as though you have been trusted to hold space for somebody’s vulnerability, and to find resonance and community in that trust. I hope that the P.O. Box listed on the back cover still works, because I’d love to share a perzine pen pal letter with them, and see what zines they are writing today.

📓 Details: quarter-sized, 32 pages, b&w
