“Rescued Reflections” — the latest issue of the art compzine “The World Through Our Eyes” — is a scrapbook of sorts: the zine features a collection of “small doodles and notes hidden in the margins of papers” that the project’s founder, Maven, has been collecting for months. Inside are lists of folks who have been forgiven, letters to lost friends, diary entries and scribbled faces. While this is a compilation zine, gathering bits-n-bobs from zinesters worldwide, the collaged approach and anonymity of the collection make it feel like you’re peering into someone’s scrapbook of memories, a reminder of the universality of so many of our thoughts and feelings. We are never as alone as we might feel we are, and so much is shared between us all. “The World Through Our Eyes” is accepting submissions on their website, if you want to offer your own reflections to a future issue. 📓 Details: half-size, 14 pages, b&w💌 : free or pwyc to download 🔗 : instagram • website |
