Even if you don’t have a supervisor working over you, “How to Survive Your Boss Using Astrology” is a worthwhile read. This zine by Jessica of Saturn’s Equal is the perfect pick for anyone seeking to learn more about what makes members of each zodiac sign tick. She shares tips and tricks for appealing to folks under each sign — let Geminis talk, compliment Leos, act responsibly around Capricorns, etc. — and while these tips are geared towards bosses, they can be applied to almost any interpersonal relationship. “How to Survive Your Boss Using Astrology” deepened my understanding of the Zodiac. My knowledge of astrology is admittedly pretty basic (I know my Sun, Moon, Rising, and I occasionally glance at messages from my Co-Star app). I often find myself confusing the signs, but in painting a picture of each’s working style, Saturn’s Equal really helped clarify the differences between them. Jessi has a conversational writing style that makes the zine an easy read, and they drop more deep-dive zodiac facts (ie: Libra and Taurus are Venusian signs) in amongst the tips. It’s a great way to get a better handle on astrology; one of the goals of Saturn’s Equal is to create “educational, empowering, and entertaining” astrology content and I’d say they succeeded. 📓 Details: quarter-size, b&w, 15 pages💌 : available at Bluestockings and Elliott Bay Book Company |
